The following is a note from our collaborators at New Sanctuary Movement:
We are postponing Friday's planned action at ICE until later in June. We are so grateful to partner with Philadelphia Assembled in this work and grateful for their flexibility to follow the lead of the immigrant community. We decided to postpone because, with the uptick of arrests and deportations, our immigrant members did not feel we could celebrate while so many families are mourning their family members being deported. However, in late June we would like to come together to build community, create a healing space with music, dance, and art, and celebrate the leadership of the immigrant community who has been hit so hard and keeps fighting. More details to follow.
