The Moor Tour

public sites

Journalist and public broadcasting producer Elisabeth Perez-Luna is conducting interviews with artists and other participants in each atmosphere working group about their vision, their work, and their plans for Philadelphia Assembled.

Dad/a is a collaborative arts-based project bringing together Philadelphia boys and men from the full life cycle for story sharing, mutual learning, strategizing and celebration of the role of fathering in their lives.

Graphic Identity

Philadelphia Assembled has a project-specific graphic identity, created in collaboration with Rotterdam-based graphic design studio, 75B, that functions as a unifying point of departure for project collaborators to embrace and use.

Grounded, PHLA Film Series

The Grounded film series profiles practices of resilience and spiritual grounding among grassroots organizers and cultural workers. Through a series of web video shorts, including oral history, documentary, and speculative fiction, it portrays the inner power of our movements for justice.

In the second phase, in summer 2017, pieces of the public “spaces of resilience” will begin to move in a public procession from the city to the Museum’s Perelman Building. This process might be as simple as traveling by taxi, by bike, or walking on foot.

The Philadelphia Assembled Kitchen

While Philadelphia Assembled is at the Perelman Building, there will be new smells and tastes emerging from the Philadelphia Assembled Kitchen. Imagined by Pascale Boucicaut and Kristin Schwab, together with cooks from across Philadelphia, the cafe will be transformed into a Philadelphia-based culinary experience.

Youth Dream Trust

The Youth Dream Trust is a core of youth from across the project that are tied to various organizations and youth-specific groups, that come together to collectively engage in thinking about Philadelphia and it’s acts of resilience.

The Movement atmosphere is looking at the intersections of the project’s eight public sites and proposing ways in which these sites can influence one another across the city and at the Museum. The Production Editors are part of this Movement atmosphere, working with collaborators to record and narrate the project and its growth as they capture it in film, audio, image, and word.
