Born in Philadelphia and raised in the Mississippi Delta, my taste buds are rooted in the cookery and traditions of southern black food ways. Since returning to Philly, my palette has expanded to include foods from the African, Asian, and Latin Diasporas. You can find me on Woodland Avenue devouring Lamb Dibi, scouring Philly's Chinatown searching for the best fishmonger, or in South Philly grabbing tacos after midnight.
While I am not a classically trained chef, I am a curious home cook with a Master in Fried Arts. The stove is my side jawn and when I talk about food people get hungry.
