Creativity Assembled has began!

Creativity Assembled is a project whose objective is to highlight our neighbors’ creativity. We know who some of our creative neighbors are. Yet, there are many more who are “hidden in plain sight,” and who only need a bit of encouragement and guidance to begin sharing their creativity with the world.

On Monday, July 24, 2017, from 5:30pm – 7:30pm, we begin our project by recording some of our neighbors’ creative ideas and aspirations at the South Philadelphia branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia, located at 1700 South Broad Street (at Broad and Morris Street). We will meet again on Wednesday, July 26, from 12noon – 2:00pm, at the Tioga-Nicetown Free Library branch, at Broad Street and Erie Avenue. A third meeting is being planned for August at the Free Library’s Central office at 19th and Vine Streets.

The recordings will be edited and presented as podcasts. The podcasts and images of the interviewees will be available for digital presentation in the Futures Atmosphere’s exhibition space at the PMA’s Perelman building. Also, we hope to stage, at least, one presentation during the exhibition. During this event, we would submit our neighbors’ creative ideas and aspirations to the wisdom of the crowd (the audience), who would offer wisdom, ideas, feedback, and guidance to the featured neighbors.
