Gabriela Sanchez, Educator Director, graduated from the Creative and Performing Arts High School in Theater and received a Bachelor of Arts in Theater, from Temple University. Previously, Gabriela was the Cultural Enrichment and Facility Manager at Taller Puertorriqueño. She founded her own theater company, Power Street Theatre, where she has created a multicultural theatre company with fellow artists and produced two powerful world premiere plays for the Philadelphia Fringe Arts Festival. Both productions, MinorityLand (2013) and Morir Sonyando (2014) by Erlina Ortiz were listed in the top 15 must-see shows in the Fringe Festival by Philadelphia's City Paper. Gabriela is a part of the Young Professionals Council at Philadelphia Young Playwrights. For six years she worked for the Department of Recreation with Conflict Resolution Theater as an actress, teaching artist, and manager. Gabriela is proud to be from the City of Brotherly Love, the place where she discovered her love for theatre and community.
