Nonviolent Direct Action Training: Taking Control of the Streets
Powerful actions are guided by many hands. Well-trained folks taking on roles such as Police Liaison, Marshal, Media Spokesperson, and others can make the difference between an unfocused crowd and an on-message group ready for anything. Gain skills in filling action roles to be strong and safe in the streets.
This training is open for all who are ready for bold and grounded action for justice. Youth are welcome!
UPDATE: we'll have breakout trainings within the workshop!
Come learn how to step powerfully in to the following roles:
Marshalling/De-escalation - led by Samantha Sassafras Shain and Toby Fraser
Media Spokesperson - Kaytee Ray-Riek
Chant Leader - Jennine Miller
Police Liason - Eileen Flanagan
